News: Four Various Methods for Attaching an Elastic Band to Keep Your Wig Secure and Achieve a Flat Hairline
To enhance the security of your wig and ensure it stays in place, we provide an elastic band in the package that you can sew into your cap yourself, helping to create a flatter hairline and a more secure fit. Today, we will present four different methods for sewing the elastic band, allowing you to choose the most convenient option for you.
1 - Sew Using the Fold Up Method
The first method is demonstrated by the skilled @MsPreciousMarie. You will need a needle, thread, scissors, and the elastic band included in your package if you purchased from hismilehair.com
Turn your wig inside out and place it on a head model. Measure the band from one ear to the other, then cut it to the measured length without pulling it. Sew the band onto the cap precisely at the locations of the ear tabs.

Be careful not to sew it too tightly, as it may become uncomfortable when wearing your wig. A good approach is to fold the band up to create a snug fit that conforms to your head. The amount you fold will depend on how tight you prefer it. This method also lets you make adjustments later if it feels too tight or too loose.

2 - Measure the Length of the Elastic Band
To properly attach the elastic band to your wig cap, you'll need a tape measure. Measure the distance from one ear to the other in a straight line. We suggest cutting the band 2-4 inches longer than the measured length to ensure it fits snugly and flat against your head. The additional length you trim can be adjusted based on your comfort level when wearing the wig. After that, sew the band from ear to ear on the inside of your wig cap.

3 - Determining the Adjusted Length of the Elastic Band
This method doesn't require a tape measure; simply measure from one ear to the other across the nape of your neck. Be sure to hold the elastic band tightly, as you'll experience significant tension when pulling it to find the adjusted length. This will give you the measurement you need for cutting. The length will be quite short since you'll be able to stretch it when wearing your hair wig.

Sew the band to your wig cap.
4 - Opt for a Wig with a Sewn-In Removable Elastic Band
The easiest option is to purchase a wig that comes with an elastic band already stitched in. We have recently launched new human hair wigs with a fake scalp cap that feature an adjustable and removable elastic band sewn inside.
